This window is where you do most of the work with your lots. It has a list of all the lots in Fusion, but it also has a lot of other functionality for combining, comparing, viewing, printing, and analyzing lot related information. This includes printing closeouts and other reports. It also includes invoicing customers.
This window has the following menu buttons available. (See the List Windows topic to learn more about list windows in general.)
In addition to the regular search field, the Lot Center has some addition objects in the search bar for often used searches. These objects work in conjunction with the search you have in the search field and in the Advanced Find window, narrowing the search results even further.
As mentioned above, when you click the Show Detail menu button the detail area is revealed in the bottom half of the window. This area shows more information for the selected lot or lots. At the top of this area are some options which are described next.
Date Range. By default, the information shown in each detail area represents the entire life of the lot, or at least up until the previous midnight if the lot is still open. You can have Fusion calculate and show this information based on activity on a certain date or during a date range by entering dates in these fields. Or you can use the pop up to change from Date Range to Day Range where you can enter day numbers instead. For example, the range 1-7 would calculate for the first week of the lot's life. Using Day Range is especially helpful when you are combining or comparing lots from different time periods where you want to see how they all did for the first 30 days, for example.
It is important to realize that Fusion literally only looks at activity during the time period specified when it calculates everything in the detail area. This can have some side effects that might be unexpected, depending on what you are looking for. For example, if you enter a time period when there were no in cohorts (perhaps after all the cattle were already in the lot), Fusion will show an in count of zero. And calculations based on the in count at some point will be based on an in count of zero. In most cases Fusion is doing the expected things, but it is good to understand how this works in case you run into odd results. Please note that when you use the Print Detail option to print reports based on the detail area information you can choose a different time period for every single piece of data so you always get what you are expecting.
Note that using the date range only affects the detail area values. It does not affect the values in the list at the top of the window.
Each time you change the date range, Fusion will show an Update Detail Area button below. It can take some time to recalculate the values, especially if multiple lots are selected. When you have specified the date range, click this button to have Fusion start recalculating the information.
When you select one lot in the list above, the detail area will show information for just that lot. You can also combine lots by selecting two or more lots from the list. When you do this, Fusion will show the Update Detail Area button which you need to click when you have all the lots you want selected. The information in the detail area will then reflect the combined lots as if they were one lot. This can be done even if lots are from different time periods. Any options you are using in the top part of the detail area are still in affect. For example, if you are constraining the information to a date range, Fusion will still only look at data from that date range for each selected lot (if any) when it calculates the combined values. There are many reasons to combine lots. For example, you may want to see how all the lots with a certain buyer did. Or all the lots with a certain cattle type or owner.
You can print the information from combined lots using the Print Detail function.
When you click the Compare… button in the options area, Fusion hides the list at the top of the window and goes into a special comparison mode. Here you can add different detail areas to a list and then compare any two of them. You can even add the resulting comparison detail area to the list and compare it to something else. That may sound confusing so let's go through the process of making a comparison. We'll use the simple example of comparing two lots.
Notice that when you click the Save Current Detail Area As A Comparison button, Fusion simply copies whatever values are currently in the detail area. In the simple example above, that was just the information for a lot. But we could have combined several lots first and added the combined values to the comparison list. For example, you could combine all the lots from one buyer and then all the lots from another buyer and have Fusion compare them. Or, you might compare all the lots from one year against another year. Or, perhaps you want to compare different cattle types. Comparing lots can be a powerful tool when you are trying to understand what characteristics result in the best performance.
Comparisons aren't meant to be long lived. In fact, Fusion will only remember the detail area values in a comparison for one day. You can delete them from the list sooner by using the Delete button. Any comparisons you add will be available to anyone else using Fusion for the rest of the day unless you delete them. If you Double-Click a comparison in the comparison list, Fusion will place its values in the detail area below.
As hinted at above, you can add the results of a comparison to the comparison list itself. After clicking the Calculate Comparison button, just use the Save Current Detail Area As A Comparison button to save the results.
When Fusion calculates a comparison, it goes through every value in the two detail areas it is comparing and subtracts the second detail area value from the first detail area. For example, if the head days for the first detail area was 1000 and 900 for the second detail area, the result would be 100. So positive numbers mean the first detail area was higher (usually meaning better) by that much. Negative values mean the first detail area was lower (usually meaning worse) by that much. If you wished you dragged the comparisons in a different order, you can use drag and drop to change it or click the Swap button. The click the Calculate Comparison button again.
The results of a comparison can be printed just like other detail areas. Use the Print Detail… button when in comparison mode to print the current comparison.
There are a number of sections in the detail area. You can click any section listed on the left side and the right side will show the information for that section. Each section is briefly explained below. For more detailed information about each piece of information shown, including how it is calculated, see below where each list column is described.
While the detail areas can be printed using reports you create with the Print Detail functionality, sometimes you may just want to quickly print or save one detail area exactly like you see it—almost like a screen dump. This is possible with the list type detail areas by Right-Clicking any place in one of the list's headers. (This works throughout all of Fusion. Any place there is a list that doesn't have Advanced Print functionality, Right-Clicking any place in one of the list's headers. (This works throughout all of Fusion. Any place there is a a header will give you some options for printing, saving, or copying the list contents.) |
The fields with blue labels are live fields meaning that they are not calculated as of the previous midnight like more information in the detail areas. If multiple lots are selected, the fields on the left in the Basic Info portion of this section will be blank unless all the lots have the same value.
None of these fields are calculated fields so they are always live.
This section shows all the billing information for the lot up to the previous midnight, broken down in different ways for comparison.
The figures in this section are as of the previous midnight. For open lots, Fusion "pretends" to sell the remaining cattle at their current weight to come up with values needed to calculate the rest of the information. Fusion shows these "pretend" values in green so you can see what was used.
This section is figured out in the same way as the Profit/Loss section. Values in green are the "pretend" values.
The "dead weight in" values are calculated including the weight of animals that have died. The "dead weight out" values are calculated excluding the weight of dead animals. The dead weight out values paint a truer picture from a financial point of view (hence the light green background color). However, occasionally it makes sense from a research perspective to use the dead weight in values.
This section shows you the projection for the lot. These projections will come from the Projections Calculator, be manually entered, or a combination of both.
This section shows you the carcass adjusted values for the lot, if they exist. These values will only exist if every non-death out cohort has a dressing weight and pay weight entered. Pre-Fusion and overriden out values for a lot are not taken into consideration, so these values only make sense when those are not used and the lot is already closed. Values are always expressed as dead weight out and excluding interest.
This section shows you the total amount of feed attributed to the lot broken down by ingredient. This is based on actual ingredients added to a load of feed—not theoretical ration formulations.
This section shows you the total amount of feed attributed to the lot broken down by ration.
This section shows you the total amount of feed attributed to the lot broken down by each ration version.
Shows all the drugs that were given to animals from the lot. The left side is a breakdown of drugs by category. When you select one of the categories, the right side will show the actual drugs used in that category. It is possible for a drug to show up in multiple categories based on the context it was given in.
In the categories list, there is an extra line under the totals line that breaks out drugs that were given during a treat subjob regardless of any other category the drug is in. This was helpful before Fusion allowed a drug to be in different categories. Now it is better to set up your chuteside jobs so that drugs are categorized based on usage context instead.
Shows all the inputs that were given to animals from the lot. The left side is a breakdown of inputs by category. When you select one of the categories, the right side will show the actual inputs used in that category. It is possible for an input to show up in multiple categories based on the context it was given in.
For every day a lot has animals in it, Fusion keeps track of the head count, average weight, etc. as it was at the end of the day. This section shows that list. Note that you can also open the Lot Day Summary list as a child window to see this and additional information.
Shows a list of other items billed toward the lot.
This area shows a list of ownerships on the left. Selecting an ownership will show the owners and percentages on the right.
Shows a list of in cohorts associated with the lot. You can also open the In Cohort list window as a child window to see the same and additional information.
Shows a list of non-death type out cohorts associated with the lot. You can also open the Out Cohort list window as a child window to see the same and additional information. (You will have to do a find to not show death out cohorts.)
Shows a list of death type out cohorts associated with the lot. You can also open the Out Cohort list window as a child window to see the same and additional information. (You will have to do a find to only show death type out cohorts.)
This section summarizes the health issues a lot has faced and shows the relapse rate for each diagnosis listed.
Summarizes the deaths and their causes for the lot. Note that a death is only included here if there was a death cause specified in the death out cohort.
Lists the pens the animals are currently in. You can also open the Pens list window as a child window to see the same and additional information. The Withdrawal column uses the drug related withdrawals by default. If you are properly linking animals, you can check the Include Feed Withdrawal checkbox to show the combined withdrawals. (Even the drug withdrawal date is based on individual animals Fusion thinks are in the pen at the moment, so if you aren't linking animals this may not be correct!)
Shows a list of animals in the lot. You can use the popup to change which ID field is displayed. You can also open the Animal list window as a child window to see the same and a lot more information for each animal.
You can open this window by going to Fusion Core → Lots → Lot Center.
This list is where all the lots are kept. From a billing perspective, everything in a feedlot is divided into lots. Animals from the same lot normally share the same charateristics and enter and leave the feedlot fairly close together. Closeouts are generated on a lot basis as well. A lot can be spread across multiple pens, but if you find you want billing and closeout information seperately for groups of animals within a lot, you should consider breaking them into multiple lots.
Many people don't really distinguish between a pen of cattle and a lot of cattle, but in Fusion it is important to think specifically. To Fusion, a pen is a physical place where cattle from one or more lots can be held for a period of time. A lot is a group of cattle that Fusion tracks billing and other information about as a whole, even if they are spread across multiple pens or move to different pens over time.
Many of the fields in this list are recalculated once every night or when you manually regenerate a lot. This means that most of the closout, billing, and other calculated information is current as of the previous midnight so don't expect today's changes to be reflected right away, even if you regenerate the lot. (Field like current count, weight, and lot days are always current.)
When Fusion calculates this information for open lots, it does a "pretend" closeout by pretending that any remaining animals were sold today at the currently estimated weight for them.
Field | Display Speed | Description |
---|---|---|
Lot Name | Normal | The name of the lot. This name is used in lists throughout Fusion when you choose the lot or view the lot. It must be unique within a location. We recommend not trying to put too much information into a lot name. For example, some people try to encode the sex, owner, cattle type, etc. into the lot name. We recommend using the other fields provided for this and keep the lot name simple. However, you can enter anything you like. |
Location | Normal | This is the location the lot belongs to. Lots can only belong to one location. |
Status | Normal | A lot only has to states: Open and Closed. A lot is open when it is first created and stays that way until the last animal leaves the feedlot. Once the headcount in a lot goes to zero, Fusion will automatically close the lot. (You can still change pricing and other information after it is closed and Fusion will regenerate billing and closeout information.) |
Is Fully Closed | Normal | This field has no bearing on the internal business logic in Fusion, but it can be used to mark a lot as completely closed after all the associated billing and reporting is complete. |
Sex | Normal | The sex of the lot. Male, Female, and Mixed are the possibilities. Note that individual animals in a lot can also have a sex assigned to them (Male, Female, Unknown) which can default to this field if it is set up before the animals are inducted. |
Breed | Normal | The breed of the lot from the list of possbile breeds you have defined. Note that individual animals in a lot can also have a breed assigned to them which may be different that this field. The animal breed field can be set to default to this field if it is set up before the animals are inducted. |
Color | Normal | The color of the lot from the list of possbile colors you have defined. Note that individual animals in a lot can also have a color assigned to them which may be different that this field. The animal color field can be set to default to this field if it is set up before the animals are inducted. |
Cattle Type | Normal | The cattle type of the lot from the list of possbile cattle types you have defined. Note that individual animals in a lot can also have a cattle type assigned to them which may be different that this field. The animal cattle type field can be set to default to this field if it is set up before the animals are inducted. |
Count | Normal | The number of animals currently in the lot. In other words, the count of animals in the lot that haven't died, been sent to slaughter, or left the feedlot in some other way. When this count gets to zero, the lot will automatically be closed. This count is only affected by in cohorts and out cohorts. Note that it is quite possible for this number to not match the number of animal records associated with the lot which can be a result of not linking animals all the time, duplicate animals during a chuteside job, animals losing their tag and coming through as a "new" animal in a chuteside job, etc. The point is that this field should have the correct number of animals and is used for billing and closeout information. |
Weight (lb) | Normal | This is the lot's average weight right now. It is a weighted average of all the animals left in the lot no matter what pen they are in. When the lot is closed, this field will become zero. |
Weight Class (lb) | Normal | The lot's weight class. This is based on the weight classes you set up in the Preferences window when Fusion was first set up and the lot's average weight. |
Weight Class Value per Unit | Very Slow | This is a calculated field that shows the market value on a per unit (lb or kg) basis. It reflects the current weight class pricing you have set up in the attributes part of Fusion. |
Lot Days | Normal | The number of days cattle have been in the lot based on the average date in and out. The formula is normally the average date out (or today if the lot is still open) - the average date in. However if no in cohort information is available because the entire lot is pre-Fusion, the formula will be the last date out - the first date in. |
Pens Currently In | Very Slow | This field is for display and reporting only. It will show a list of the pens the lot is currently in. |
Custom Column | Normal | A lot of information stored about a lot can't be shown in a list like this one. Much of this information is shown in the detail area of the Lot Center window. Sometimes you want to be able to quickly compare a certain value in the detail area across lots. There is a function in the Lot Center window where you can choose one piece of detail information and Fusion will use this field to show it for all lots. Thus, this field will reflect whatever was last chosen using that function. |
Ownership Percentage | Normal | This field is only useful when this list is viewed in the Lot Center window and the Current Owner field is being used. In that case, Fuson will calculate the ownership percentage that owner currently has in the lot. Otherwise it will be zero. |
Ownership Interest Rate | Normal | This field is only useful when this list is viewed in the Lot Center window and the Current Owner field is being used. In that case, Fuson will calculate the owner's current interest rate used with the lot. Otherwise it will be zero. |
Ownership Equity | Normal | This field is only useful when this list is viewed in the Lot Center window and the Current Owner field is being used. In that case, Fuson will calculate the owner's equity in the lot. Otherwise it will be zero. |
Current Owner | Normal | This field is for searching only. You can use it in an advanced find to get a list of all lots where this person is a current owner of the lot. |
First Date In | Normal | The earliest date this lot had cattle in the feedlot. This is normally based on the first in cohort, but if pre-Fusion information is entered it may be based on the date given there. Fusion changes this date as needed. It will be blank if no cattle have entered the lot yet. |
Last Date Out | Normal | This is the last date that cattle were in the lot. It can be considered the date the lot was closed. If pre-Fusion information is used and a Last Date Out was specified there, this field will use that date. |
Avg Date In | Normal | As cattle come into the lot with different in cohorts, this date will change. It is the average date the cattle came in, weighted by count. In other words, if only a few cattle came in at the beginning of the week and a lot of cattle came in at the end of the week, the average date would be closer to the end of the week. Note that this field is calculated only with in cohorts, so pre-Fusion information is not taken into account. In fact, if no cattle come into a lot after transitioning to Fusion, this field will be blank for that lot. |
Avg Date Out | Normal | As cattle leave the lot with different out cohorts, this date will change. It is the average date the cattle came leave, weighted by count. In other words, if only a few cattle leave at the beginning of the week and a lot of cattle leave at the end of the week, the average date would be closer to the end of the week. The field will be blank until the first out cohort is created for the lot. It will also be blank if a lot was closed out pre-Fusion. |
Estimated Slaughter Date | Normal | When you set a lot up you can specify a target slaughter date and weight. With that information Fusion recalculated this field—the estimated slaughter date—each night. In general it should be come more accurate as the lot get closer to slaughter. This is how the calculation works: If you leave both the target date and weight blank, this field will be blank. If you enter a target date but leave the target weight field blank, this field will be the same as the target date. This allows you to override any logic in Fusion if you have your own way of setting a target date. If you enter a target weight, but not a target date, Fusion will estimate how quickly the cattle are growing based on past growth and set this field to that estimate. If you enter both a target weight and date, Fusion will estimate the date based on growth, but not allow the date to go beyond the target date you have set. In other words, you can have Fusion determine the date, but it can be capped so you sell the cattle by a certain date regardless of weight. Note that this field can be used as part of the formula to determine individual animal slaughter dates during a chuteside job if desired. For example, you might set up Fusion to calculate this date to be a good average for the lot and then have individual animals adjust to a date before or after this date based on their weight spread from the lot average. This can be done automatically during a chuteside job, including virtual jobs. |
Drug Withdrawal | Normal | This field shows the current withdrawal date for the entire lot based on drugs given. It is re-calculated each night (or when the lot in manually regenerated) by looking at all animals associated with the lot that are still current and finding the one with the most future drug withdrawal date. That date then becomes the lot's withdrawal date. If that date is in the past, this field will be blank. |
Feed Withdrawal | Normal | This field shows the current withdrawal date for the entire lot based on feed given. Note that feed withdrawals are only accurate if you always properly link animals. If you don't, this field will be meaningless and should not be used. It is re-calculated each night (or when the lot in manually regenerated) by looking at all animals associated with the lot that are still current and finding the one with the most future feed withdrawal date. That date then becomes the lot's withdrawal date. If that date is in the past, this field will be blank. |
Overall Withdrawal | Normal | This field is a combination of the drug and feed withdrawals. If you are always linking animals so that feed withdrawals are accurate, you can just use this field for an overall withdrawal date. If not, just use the drug withdrawal field as this one will be meaningless. |
Lot Was Open On Date | Not Tested | This field is for searching purposes only. You can use it in the advanced find to reduce the list to lots that were open on the specified date. |
Growth Potential Score | Normal | This field shows how you have scored the lot for growth potential (Large for large framed animals, Medium for medium framed animals, Small for small framed animals). This is initially used in helping determine a good default Mature Weight setting which is used in the NRC calculations for determining growth. Once the mature weight is set, this field is only for informational purposes. |
Gain Model | Normal | When Fusion calculates weight gain for existing animals each night, it can use a different model for each lot. This field shows which model is being used. The possibilities are: 1996 NRC: 1996 NRC weight gain formulas are used. Specified Gain: a constant weight gain is used—see the Weight Gain Factor field Specified Conversion: the value in the Feed Conversion Factor field will be used to increase weight based on the feed conversion—for example, a factor of 7.0 means that an animal that eats 21 lbs of dry matter in a day will gain 3 lbs. |
NRC Mature Weight | Normal | The mature weight is used in the NRC equations when used for calculating estimated weight gain each night. The better this estimate is of the weight you are hoping to slaughter the animals at, the more accurate the gain will be each day—especially toward the end of the feeding period. You can enter a specific mature weight, but the following are the defaults Fusion uses based on the growth potential score until you override it: Small male = 500 kg/1100 lb Small female = 430 kg/950 lb Small mixed = 465 kg/1025 lb Medium male = 610 kg/1350 lb Medium female = 540 kg/1200 lb Medium mixed = 575 kg/1275 lb Large male = 725 kg/1600 lb Large female = 655 kg/1450 lbs Large mixed = 690 kg/1525 lb. |
Weight Gain Factor | Normal | This is the value used if the gain model is Specified Gain. This will be the constant number of pounds or kilograms that are added to the weight of this lot each night. |
Feed Conversion Factor | Normal | This is the value used if the gain model is Specified Conversion. It will be the conversion rate used to determine the weight gain for the lot based on the dry matter intake from the previous day. For example, a factor of 7.0 means that an animal that eats 21 lbs of dry matter in a day will gain 3 lbs. |
Buyer | Normal | You can assign a buyer to the lot. If this is set up before animals are inducted with a chuteside job, the job can be set up so the animal's source defaults to this buyer. |
Buyer Phone Number | Normal | The buyer's phone number. |
Originating Herd | Very Slow | The place where the animals where born. |
Originating Herd Phone | Very Slow | The phone number for the originating herd contact. |
Opened Pre-Fusion | Normal | Will be "Yes" if this lot existed before you started using Fusion and has pre-Fusion information. |
Closed Pre-Fusion | Normal | Will be "Yes" if the lot existed and was closed before you started using Fusion. Fusion allows historical lots to be entered if desired for comparison purposes and can compute a simple closeout based on a small amount of information entered in the pre-Fusion area of a lot. |
Target Slaughter Weight (lb) | Normal | See the explanation for the Estimated Slaughter Date field. |
Target Slaughter Date | Normal | See the explanation for the Estimated Slaughter Date field. |
Override Weight Class Value? | Normal | Normally the Weight Class fields are calculated using the current weight class attribute pricing set up in the attributes area of Fusion. However, you can override the value used for a lot if you like. If you have done so, this field will be "Yes". That means you need to update the value as it changes over time. |
Overriden Weight Class Value | Normal | If you are overriding the weight class value, this will be the dollars per lb (or kg) you want to assign this lot and this value will be used in calculating the weight class value fields. |
Category 1 | Normal | If you want to record information about a lot that doesn't fit into any existing fields, Fusion provides five custom fields to be used any way you like. This is the first of these. You can customize the labels of these fields in the Preferences window. If you feel you are storing information that other people might also want to store, please let us know so we can consider adding a dedicated field it in a future version of Fusion. |
Lot Source | Normal | The second custom field. |
Category 3 | Normal | The third custom field. |
Category 4 | Normal | The fourth custom field. |
Category 5 | Normal | The fifth custom field. |
Note | Normal | You can enter any notes you like for the lot here. |
Total Feed | Normal | The total dollars for feed consumed by the lot. This is how Fusion calculates the feed: For each day, it looks at each pen the lot was in. For each pen, it looks at each feed delivery and decides how much of the feed delivery applies to the lot based on relative head count within the pen (if there is more than one lot in the pen). It also figures out what percentage of the load the feed delivery was. It then looks at the actual ingredient amounts that went into the load and figures out the price for each one. It then does the math to figure out the price of each ingredient to apply to the lot. This continues until all pens are looked at for the lot for the day. At the end of the day, each ingredient amount is rounded to the nearest cent. |
Total Drugs | Normal | The total dollars for drugs given to the lot. Note that when Fusion calculates this amount, rounding to the nearest cent occurs for each drug on the total quantity for the entire day. |
Total Inputs | Normal | The total dollars for inputs given to the lot. Note that when Fusion calculates this amount, rounding to the nearest cent occurs for each input on the total quantity for the entire day. |
Total Yardage | Normal | The total yardage dollars for the lot. Rounding occurs once for each day. |
Total Other | Normal | The total of any "Other Items" billed to the lot. |
Subtotal | Normal | The total feed, drugs, inputs, yardage, and other items associated with this lot. |
Total Tax | Normal | The amount of tax applied to the subtotal. This is based on the formula entered in the Preferences window. |
Grand Total | Normal | The subtotal plus the taxes. |
Feed per lb | Normal | The next fields are calculated by taking the total feed (or drugs, etc.) and dividing by the total weight gained (dead weight out). If the lot is still open, Fusion will "pretend" that the remaining animals were slaughtered today at their current estimated weight when calculating this information. |
Drugs per lb | Normal | See above. |
Inputs per lb | Normal | See above. |
Yardage per lb | Normal | See above. |
Other per lb | Normal | See above. |
Subtotal per lb | Normal | See above. |
Tax per lb | Normal | See above. |
Total per lb | Normal | See above. |
Feed per animal | Normal | The next fields are calculated by taking the total feed (or drugs, etc.) and dividing by the in count. The in count will come from the total in count of the in cohorts plus any animals in the pre-Fusion information if it exists unless the lot in value have been overriden in which case the in count will come from the overriden values. If the lot is still open, Fusion will "pretend" that the remaining animals were slaughtered today at their current estimated weight when calculating this information. |
Drugs per animal | Normal | See above. |
Inputs per animal | Normal | See above. |
Yardage per animal | Normal | See above. |
Other per animal | Normal | See above. |
Subtotal per animal | Normal | See above. |
Tax per animal | Normal | See above. |
Total per animal | Normal | See above. |
Feed per day | Normal | The next fields are calculated by taking the total feed (or drugs, etc.) and dividing by the total head days for the lot. |
Drugs per day | Normal | See above. |
Inputs per day | Normal | See above. |
Yardage per day | Normal | See above. |
Other per day | Normal | See above. |
Subtotal per day | Normal | See above. |
Tax per day | Normal | See above. |
Total per day | Normal | See above. |
Total Purchases | Normal | The total dollars used to purchase the animals when they entered the feedlot. This is normally the sum of the in dollars of all the in cohorts, but if the in values have been overriden at the lot level, it will be from the overriden value. If this is a pre-Fusion lot, this field include the pre-Fusion information. |
Total Cost | Normal | The total amount of dollars applied to the lot while they have been in the feedlot. The value comes from the Subtotal field so it does not include tax. |
Total Sales | Normal | The total dollars received for sale of the animals after they left the feedlot. This is normally the sum of the out dollars of all the non-death out cohorts, but if the out values have been overriden at the lot level, it will be from the overriden value. If this is a pre-Fusion lot, this field include the pre-Fusion information. If the lot has not yet closed, Fusion "pretends" to sell the remaining cattle at their current estimated weight and at the "remaining cattle price" to include those animals in this figure. Note that the "remaining cattle price" can be changed at will in the Lot Center window to better reflect current pricing. |
Total Interest | Normal | When calculating interest for a lot, Fusion calculates the interest for each owner and then sums these up for this field. The interest for each owner is based on the interest rate currently assigned to them, their ownership percentage of the lot, and the percentage of interest to apply to each billing type (feed, drugs, etc.) as set up in the Preferences window. |
Interest per Head Sold | Normal | The Total Interest field ÷ the Out Count field. (So deads are not included.) |
Interest per Head Purchased | Normal | The Total Interest field ÷ the In Count field. |
Purchase Price (per lb) | Normal | Total Cost ÷ Total In Weight. |
Sale Price (per lb) | Normal | Total Purchases ÷ Total Out Weight. |
Break Even Price (per lb) | Normal | (Total Purchases + Total Cost) ÷ Total Out Weight. |
Total Profit | Normal | Total Sales - Total Purchases - Total Cost. |
Profit per Head Sold | Normal | Total Profit ÷ Out Count. (So deads are not included.) |
Profit per Head Purchased | Normal | Total Profit ÷ In Count. |
Cost/ Head/ Day | Normal | Total Cost ÷ Head Days. |
Cost of Gain dead wt in (per lb) | Normal | Total Cost ÷ Total Weight Gain (dead weight in). |
Cost of Gain dead wt out (per lb) | Normal | Total Cost ÷ Total Weight Gain (dead weight out). |
Annualized ROI | Normal | Total Profit ÷ Total Equity x 365 ÷ Days In Period. Total Equity is calculated by adding up the entered equity values for each current owner in the lot. Days In Period = the lot's Last Date Out (current date if the lot is still open) - the First Date In + 1. |
