Lot Protocol List Window

This window is where all the lot protocols for all lots are listed. Lot protocols are created in the Lot edit window.

This window has the following menu buttons available. (See the List Windows topic to learn more about list windows in general.)

  • Set Complete Date. A protocol action will be marked complete automatically when it is part of a chuteside job. Otherwise, you can use this function to manually let Fusion know the action is complete.
  • Change Ignore Status. You can ask Fusion to ignore protocol actions. This can be done in the Lot edit window or by using this function. You can also ask Fusion to stop ignoring the action so it will show up on reports again.
  • Print. This function will print a to do list type report with either the selected actions or based on a date range, depending on which option you choose. If you choose Print Date Range, this will show you the same window that is displayed when choosing Fusion Office → Yard Reports → Lot Protocol Action List.
  • Advanced Find. For finding information within the list. See Advanced Find Window for more information.
  • Advanced Sort. For sorting the list. See Advanced Sort Window for more information.
  • Advanced Print. For printing information from the list. See Advanced Print Window for more information.

List Description

When you create a lot, you can set up what we call a lot protocol which is basically a list of things that need to be done to the lot at different times while the animals are in your feedlot. Based on how the protocol is set up, Fusion can calculate when each step needs to be done. Reports can be printed each week showing a list of items to be done in the feedlot based on the lot protocols. These protocols can be marked as complete manually or as a result of a chuteside job. This is the list of these protocols.

Field Display Speed Description
Lot Normal The name of the lot this protocol action belongs to.
Location Normal The location where the lot is from.
Action Normal The name of the action that needs to be done.
Trigger Date Normal This is the date the action needs to be performed. Fusion recalculates this each night for undone actions so if it is based on weight or other actions it will always reflect the latest changes.
Completion Date Normal This is the date the action was completed.
User Who Finished Normal This is the user who completed the action. This might be the person running a chuteside job if a lot protocol action is associated with the job or the person who manually checks an action as complete.
Ignore? Normal If you have an action that you don't want to delete from the protocol, but aren't sure you want to use it yet, it can be set to "Do Ignore". Fusion will simple ignore it until you change it back to "Don't Ignore".
Note Normal You can add a note to each action to further detail what it encompasses if you like.
