This list is for viewing animals that are linked to an entity for moves, cohorts, etc. It is similar to the Animal list but with most columns off by default.

Field Display Speed Description
Current Lot Normal Animals can belong to more than one lot during the time they are in your feedlot. Any time you look at an animal's history, Fusion will show the entire history, but a lot will only be billed for products given an animal during the time it is in the lot. This field shows the lot the animal is currently it (or was last in if no longer current).
Lot Count Normal The number of lots this animal has been in while in your feedlot. Note that it is possible for an animal to not belong to any lot for a period of time.
Current Location Normal If an animal is moved to a different lot, Fusion allows this move to be to a lot in a different location. This field shows the current location the animal is in (or was last in if not current).
Home Pen Normal If the animal is current, this will show the home pen for the animal. Remember that if you are not linking animals during moves and cohorts properly, this field may not be correct.

When you make a pen move and link animals, you have the option to make the new pen the home pen as well. If you use that option, this field will update.
Current Pen Normal If the animal is current, this will show the pen the animal is currently in. Remember that if you are not linking animals during moves and cohorts properly, this field may not be correct.

If you link an animal during a pen move, this field will show the new pen.
RFID Normal This field is used to store the RFID or EID of the animal. Generally, Fusion is designed to expect one RFID tag per animal. RFID tags can be in different formats and Fusion will always normalize the number into a 15 digit number.
Lot Sick Tag Normal There is provision in Fusion to store up to five identifications per animal (besides the RFID) called "custom IDs". You can change the label for each custom ID anytime you like in the Preferences window. This is the first custom ID field.
Weight Tag Normal This is the second custom ID field.
Color Tag Normal This is the third custom ID field.
Set Aside Tag Normal This is the fourth custom ID field.
Buyer Normal This is the fifth custom ID field.
Previous RFID Normal If an animal gets a new RFID tag during a chuteside job, the old RFID tag will be placed in this field in case it needs to be looked up later. (If this happens multiple times, only the last tag is remembered here.)
Is Current Normal This field lets us know if the animal is current. The animal is automatically current when it first enters the system. It will become non-current when it is linked to an out cohort. When a lot closes, Fusion checks for any animals that belong to the lot that are still current and automatically sets them to be non-current.
Sex Normal The sex of the animal which can be Male, Female, or Unknown. When an animal first enters the system Fusion tries to set this field the best it can based on the lot the animal is from and/or the Change Attributes subjob in the first chuteside job it is in.
Breed Normal The breed of the animal. When an animal first enters the system Fusion tries to set this field the best it can based on the lot the animal is from and/or the Change Attributes subjob in the first chuteside job it is in. The list of possible breeds is something you can define when setting Fusion up.
Color Normal The color of the animal. When an animal first enters the system Fusion tries to set this field the best it can based on the lot the animal is from and/or the Change Attributes subjob in the first chuteside job it is in. The list of possible colors is something you can define when setting Fusion up.
Cattle Type Normal The cattle type of the animal. When an animal first enters the system Fusion tries to set this field the best it can based on the lot the animal is from and/or the Change Attributes subjob in the first chuteside job it is in. The list of possible cattle types is something you can define when setting Fusion up.
Source Normal The source of the animal. When an animal first enters the system Fusion tries to set this field the best it can based on the following:

(1) If the Change Attributes subjob is present, this field will be set based on that.

(2) If the animal belongs to a lot, it will be be set on the lot's Cattle Buyer.

(3) If the Cattle Buyer is blank, is will use the Lot's Originating Herd.
Birthdate Normal The date the animal was born. Normally filled in during a CCIA age verification.
Age (Normal) Normal If Fusion knows the animal's birthdate, this will show the animal's current age as in this example: 1y 2m 13d meaning 1 year, 2 months, 13 days old.
Hip Height (in) Normal The animal's hip height. Usually entered with the Change Attributes subjob.
Frame Score Normal The animal's frame score. Usually entered with the Change Attributes subjob. There is no defined upper limit, but the score must be a positive integer. For example, 1-5 or 1-10. Normally zero will mean no score was given, but you can use it differently if you like.
Thriftiness Score Normal The animal's thriftiness score. Usually entered with the Change Attributes subjob. There is no defined upper limit, but the score must be a positive integer. For example, 1-5 or 1-10. Normally zero will mean no score was given, but you can use it differently if you like.
Temperament Score Normal The animal's temperament score. Usually entered with the Change Attributes subjob. There is no defined upper limit, but the score must be a positive integer. For example, 1-5 or 1-10. Normally zero will mean no score was given, but you can use it differently if you like.
Estimated Current Weight (lb) Normal Fusion recalculates this weight each night in a very simplistic way. It simply looks at the first known weight for the animal (from a chuteside job) and the last know weight to figure out the average daily gain. It then uses that value to linearly predict what the animal would weigh today. If there are not at least two known weights, this field will remain zero. Of course, if the animal's weight recordings are not accurate, this will be wrong. Even if they are accurate, it is just a rough prediction.
Estimated Slaughter Date Normal This field is where you can enter an estimated slaughter date for animals for later sorting or planning. It can be entered manually using the Animal History window or the Grid Edit window, but will more likely be set during a chuteside job based on a calculation you set up.
Avg Pen Density (sq ft) Normal This field is calculated nightly. Fusion looks at the pens this animal has been in and figures out the average pen density while the animal has been in the feedlot. (This is based on the pen movements as known in the Animal History window.)
Pen Density Standard Deviation Normal This field is calculated nightly. Fusion looks at the pens this animal has been in and figures out the standard deviation for the average pen density while the animal has been in the feedlot. (This is based on the pen movements as known in the Animal History window.)
Avg Bunk Density (in) Normal This field is calculated nightly. Fusion looks at the pens this animal has been in and figures out the average bunk density while the animal has been in the feedlot. (This is based on the pen movements as known in the Animal History window.)
Bunk Density Standard Deviation Normal This field is calculated nightly. Fusion looks at the pens this animal has been in and figures out the standard deviation for the average bunk density while the animal has been in the feedlot. (This is based on the pen movements as known in the Animal History window.)
In Treatment Normal Tells us whether an animal is still in a treatment protocol.
Last Treat Normal The date of the last treatment given.
Current Diagnosis Normal If the animal is currently in treatment, this will be the diagnosis it is being treated for.
Diagnosis Count Normal This will show how many times the animal has been diagnosed with something while in the feedlot.
Treatment Count Normal This will be the total number of times the animal has been treated across any diagnoses it has been part of.
Withdrawal (Drugs) Normal This is the animal's withdrawal date based only on drugs it has received.
Withdrawal (Feed) Normal This is the animal's withdrawal date based only on feed. Note that this will only be accurate if you always link animals during moves because it uses the pen history in the Animal History window to determine which pens an animal has been in and, from there, what feed it might have eaten. This field is recalculated every night for current animals.
Withdrawal (Overall) Normal If you know that the feed based withdrawals are accurate in your system, you will probably only care about this field which combines the drug and feed withdrawal dates together for one overall withdrawal. This is also recalculated every night.
Pre-Fusion Withdrawal Date Normal The withdrawal date for an animal from before it arrived on your feedlot or from when it was in a previous system can be stored in this field and will be evaluated when Fusion calculates the animal's drug and overall based withdrawals. Sometimes this information is imported from another system.
Age (CCIA Months) Normal This is the age of the animal (if the birthdate is known) in months according to the way CCIA wants this calculated.
Age Verified Status Normal The age verification status of the animal. It will be "Unchecked" Fusion hasn't checked with CCIA or CCIA didn't know about the animal. Otherwise it will be "Yes" if age verified or "No" if not age verified.
CCIA Move In Date Normal If a move in event has been submitted to the CCIA, this will show the submission date. It is not possible for Fusion to know if the event caused an error. You will need to check online at the CLTS website periodically for errors.
CCIA Move Out Date Normal If a move out event has been submitted to the CCIA, this will show the submission date. It is not possible for Fusion to know if the event caused an error. You will need to check online at the CLTS website periodically for errors.
CCIA Retired Date Normal If a retire event has been submitted to the CCIA, this will show the submission date. It is not possible for Fusion to know if the event caused an error. You will need to check online at the CLTS website periodically for errors.
CCIA Import Date Normal If an import event has been submitted to the CCIA, this will show the submission date. It is not possible for Fusion to know if the event caused an error. You will need to check online at the CLTS website periodically for errors.
CCIA Export Date Normal If an export event has been submitted to the CCIA, this will show the submission date. It is not possible for Fusion to know if the event caused an error. You will need to check online at the CLTS website periodically for errors.
Total Feed Normal Fusion tries to estimate the amount of dollars of feed an animal has consumed. It does this based on the pen history of the animal, so if linking isn't always done this will not be useful at all. Fusion then looks at the feed deliveries to each pen and calculates the dollar value of the portion fed to the pen. It then simply divides that number by the number of animals in the pen and the result becomes the value in this field. This field is recalculated each night for current animals.
Total Treat Drugs Normal The total dollars for all drugs given the animal during treatment subjobs. This field is recalculated each night for current animals.
Total Other Drugs Normal The total dollars for all drugs given the animal except during treatment subjobs. This field is recalculated each night for current animals.
Total Inputs Normal The total dollars for all inputs given the animal during chuteside jobs. (Fusion does not try to include inputs given to whole pens or lots the animal may have been part of.) This field is recalculated each night for current animals.
Total Yardage Normal The total yardage dollars starting with the animal's in date. This field is recalculated each night for current animals.
Total Dry Matter (lb) Normal This field is calculated in exactly the same way as the Total Feed field, so it is Fusion best estimate given what it knows about the animal. This field is recalculated each night for current animals.
Days On Feed Normal The number of days the animal has been in the feedlot starting with the animal's In Date.
Last ADG (lb) Normal This calculation looks at the last two weights for an animal during chuteside jobs and calculates the average daily gain based on those weights. It is only as accurate as those weights are. If less than two weights are known, this will be zero. This field is recalculated each night for current animals.
In Date Normal This is the date Fusion first knew about the animal, normally the day of the first chuteside job where the animal record was created.
In Weight (lb) Normal This is the weight of the animal during its first chuteside job.
Weight 1 (Date) Normal Besides the in weight, last known weight, and the weight at each implant, you can choose to save the weight of an animal at five custom times. The date the weight was taken will also be remembered. This makes it easy to compare weights for individual animals and across animals during a similar time period or event. You can set the label of each custom weight in the Preferences window. You can set the desired custom weight during a chuteside job or manually with the Animal History or Grid Edit windows. You can also import the weight from a file. This is the date of the first custom weight.

Last Seen Date Normal The date the animal was last seen in a chuteside job.
Last Seen Weight (lb) Normal The weight of the animal during the last chuteside job.
First Implant Date Normal Fusion will keep track of up to five implant events for each animal in these fields. (If you give more than five implants, all will be remembered in the normal animal history, but only the first five in these fields.) This makes it easy to see what implants an animal has received and to change an implant strategy based on the last implant given, growth since the last implant, etc. At each implant event Fusion records the date, weight, and implant product. Any time a drug defined with "Implant" for the unit is given during a chuteside job, Fusion fills in the next set of fields. This is the first implant date.
First Implant Weight (lb) Normal The animal's weight at the first implant.
First Implant Product Normal The first implant product.
