Feed Deliveries List Window

This window is where a list of all feed deliveries to pens are kept.

This window has the following menu buttons available. (See the List Windows topic to learn more about list windows in general.)

  • New. Opens the Bunk Call/Feed Delivery window.
  • Edit. Opens the Daily Feed Detail window with this delivery selected. You can then right-click it to edit it. Note that this feed delivery will not be selected if the Daily Feed Detail window is already open.
  • Delete. Use this function to delete the feed delivery. Any billing associated with this delivery will change.
  • Advanced Find. For finding information within the list. See Advanced Find Window for more information.
  • Advanced Sort. For sorting the list. See Advanced Sort Window for more information.
  • Advanced Print. For printing information from the list. See Advanced Print Window for more information.
  • Recalculate Dollars. Each night Fusion recalculates the cost and bill at dollar values associated with each load. It does this for all deliveries made within the last 90 days. However, you can force this recalculation for selected deliveries using this function. For example, if you changed some pricing information for a date earlier than 90 days ago, you would need to use this for those earlier deliveries.

List Description

This list keeps a record of every time feed was delivered to a pen.

Field Display Speed Description
Load Number Normal This is the load number the feed delivery came from. It is important for this to be right as this is how Fusion knows what ingredients where in the delivery and how to price it to the lots within the pen.
Date Normal The date the feed was delivered. Note that this can be a different date than the load was mixed.
Time Normal The time the feed was delivered.
Location Normal The location of the feed delivery.
Pen Normal The pen the feed was delivered to. The feed will be billed to the lots within the pen proportionally based on headcount.
User Normal The user who made the delivery.
Truck Normal The truck that made the delivery.
Ration Normal The name of the ration that was on the truck. Keep in mind that rations can be blended during a load. While Fusion remembers the defined ration for the load, it also remembers the actual ingredients put in regardless of the defined ration and will bill based on that.
Target Quantity (lb) Normal This is the target amount (as fed basis) that should have been delivered. When delivering feed Fusion will suggest a target amount based on the current pass and how much has already been fed the pen. If the truck has less than the suggested target amount left, the target will be adjusted to the weight on the truck. The user is also free to change the target amount before delivering to better match their intentions.
Actual Quantity (lb) Normal This is the actual amount (as fed basis) that was delivered to the pen.
Target Dry Matter Amount Normal This is the same as the Target Quantity field, except shown on a dry matter basis.
Actual Dry Matter Amount Normal This is the same as the Actual Quantity field, except it is shown on a dry matter basis.
Accuracy Normal This field is a calculation showing how accurately the feed was delivered based on the Target Quantity and Actual Quantity fields. 100% would be a perfect delivery while 95% equates to an under-delivery and 105% equates to an over-delivery. The equation used is Actual Quantity ÷ Target Quantity * 100.
Total Cost Normal This field shows the dollars (Cost) associated with this feed delivery. Fusion recalculates this every night for all deliveries made within the past 90 days. If you change pricing from before that, you will need to use the Recalculate Dollars function in the Feed Delivery list window to have Fusion recalculate this field for the required deliveries.
Total Bill At Normal This field shows the dollars (Bill At) associated with this feed delivery. Fusion recalculates this every night for all deliveries made within the past 90 days. If you change pricing from before that, you will need to use the Recalculate Dollars function in the Feed Delivery list window to have Fusion recalculate this field for the required deliveries.
Pen's Head Count Very Slow This field shows the head count that was in the pen the day of the feed delivery. Note that this will be the number of head in the pen at midnight on that day, so it can be zero if animals that were fed at the beginning of the day were all moved out before the end of the day.
Pen's Animal Weight Very Slow The weight of the animals that were in the pen at midnight on the day the feed was delivered.
Pen's Bunk Call Per Animal Very Slow The bunk call that was associated with the pen at midnight on the day the feed was delivered.
Total DM Delivered To Pen Today Very Slow This field shows information a little outside the scope of just this delivery. Fusion will show the total amount fed to this pen for the entire day. It does this on a dry matter basis so it doesn't matter if rations changed during the day. This can be useful with the other fields in creating comparion reports.
Total DM Delivered To Pen Today (per head) Very Slow This field is similar to the Total DM Delivered To Pen Today except that it shows the same information on a per head basis. This is based on the headcount in the pen at midnight the day of the delivery.
Last Delivery? Normal If this delivery is the last one made to this pen on this day, this field will be "Yes". Fusion populates this field each night just after midnight for the previous day's deliveries.
Manual Entry Or Edit? Normal This field will be "Yes" if the delivery was manually recorded or if it was later edited. It will be "No" if not. For old deliveries before this feature was available, this field will be "Unknown".
Edit History Normal If the delivery was manually recorded or later edited, this field is used to keep a list of these changes for audit purposes.
Note Normal If the person making the delivery added a note, it will be in this field.
