Fusion 3.7

Build Date: 2019-05-06

This version of Fusion requires 64-bit versions of Windows. Do not upgrade until all of the computers you want to run Fusion on are running 64-bit Windows.

New Features

  • The major new feature in this version is the introduction of feeding protocols which define a way of moving animals through a series of rations based on some predefined conditions. They can also aid in increasing the amount fed throughout the feeding period in order to maximize growth. See the help topic named Feeding Protocols (and the topics it links to) on our website for more information.
  • A new bunk call indicator, showing the last bunk score made each day, is available.
  • Fusion is now compatible with Animal Health International micro machines.
  • A new preference in the Feeding section of the Preferences window allows you to turn off the auto distribution of feed feature.
  • You can now choose a specific transition date when you are transitioning empty locations.

Changes

  • If you have set a certain ration feeding order, this order is now respected when printing batch and feed sheets.
  • The last column in the Batch Sheet report is now two decimal places more accurate, giving more precise load ingredient amounts.
  • The max call feature has been removed. Use of feeding protocols replaces this feature.
  • The Auto Calculate Bunk Calls feature has been replaced by functionality in the new Feeding Protocols feature. If you were using the Auto Calculate Bunk Calls feature, you will need to switch to using feeding protocols. In order to make this easier, a system message will be sent to you when you upgrade which will list all the pens that had the Auto Calculate Bunk Calls feature on along with the desired gain/day setting for that pen. We recommend reading about feeding protocols before upgrading to make a plan for this change.
  • Information about the feeding protocol and bunk score is now included in Lot Info Export files.
  • When delivering feed in a truck with the Bunk Call/Feed Delivery window, the Pen Focus window shows the amount left to be fed to each pen on an as fed basis. In the past Fusion has calculated this using a theoretical ration dry matter percentage. Now Fusion will use the actual load dry matter percentage of the load currently on the truck if the load's ration matches the pen's ration. This should make for more accurate estimates on how much feed needs to be fed at the end of the day. This same logic is used in the main window when calculating the target quantity to feed the pen.

Bug Fixes

  • Percentage based subtotal footers in Advanced Print reports could be formatted incorrectly. This is fixed.
  • If an inventory balance lock was created for a drug or input on a day when there was no inventory movement, and if this date was the ending date in the Inventory Summary window, the end pricing values would remain at zero. This is fixed.
  • Trying to get a base map during GPS mapping failed. This is fixed.
  • There were issues during Daylight Savings last November where the server and clients didn't agree on the time. This is fixed.
  • In the Advanced Report Definition window, it was not possible to rearrange columns in the listbox. This is fixed.
  • The Lot Center window often took 2-3 times longer to open. This is fixed.
  • The Mix New Load and Bunk Call/Feed Delivery windows could be opened in a truck before the feedlot had transitioned which could lead to erroneous data. This is fixed.
