Input Event Edit Window

An input event is a record that shows that an input was used. See Core Concepts for information on what an input is. Input events are usually automatically created during a chuteside job or with the Bulk Add Inputs window, but you can manually create one with this window. It can also be used to edit an input event, even if the event was created automatically via another method.

  • Entity Type. An input can be billed against several types of entities. Enter the entity type for this input event here.

    • In Cohort. If you choose this option, the input event will be billed to the lot the in cohort is associated with.
    • Lot. Means the input event applies to the entire lot.
    • Out Cohort. The input event is tied to an out cohort and billing will be tied to the lot the out cohort is associated with.
    • Pen. The input event is associated with an entire pen. For billing, Fusion will look at which lots were located in the pen at the end of the day specified in the Date field and divvy up the costs based on either head count or animal weight, depending on how you have set the input up (see the Distribution Method field in the Input Edit window).
    • Sublot. This type is no longer recommended for use. It will assign the input event to a sublot and the billing will go to the lot the sublot is in.
    • Animal. If this input event was originally created in a chuteside job, it will be directly associated with an individual animal. In that case you can't change this field. If you are manually creating an input event, this field will not be an option.
  • Location. Choose the location this input event will be applied to.
  • Entity. This field is used to choose the actual entity the input event will be associated with. The entities listed here will be based on the Entity Type field.
  • Input. Choose the input given the entity.
  • Amount. Enter the amount of the input given. If the event is for a group of animals, this should be the total amount for the entire group.
  • Date. Enter the date the input was given. Keep in mind that Fusion will not include anything, including inputs, that fall outside the lot's first in date and last out date when billing.
  • Billing Category. When you choose an input, Fusion will populate this field with the default billing category (if there is one) for this input. You can change it if you like.

Saving Changes
