Physical Computer Management Window

This window is where you set up a few things that Fusion needs to know about a particular computer. It needs to be opened and set up on each computer Fusion runs on. The settings are stored on the computer itself, not on the server.

Fusion will automatically open this window the first time Fusion is launched on a new computer to make sure you remember to make the required settings.

Computer Information Section

  • Current Location. You should choose the location that you are primarily interested in working with from this computer here. This will become the default location in many instances throughout Fusion. This is particularly important for a chuteside computer that should only deal with one location. (Feed truck computers cannot change this field here. Instead, the location is determined in the Full Sync window.)
  • Computer Name. You should give each computer a name. Some places in Fusion use this name to show you what computer certain things happened on.
  • Current Use. Fusion can make some things easier to use if it knows the context it is running in. For example, if it knows it is running at chuteside, Fusion will show the Fusion Chuteside Main Menu window instead of the Task Bar window since this is easier to navigate with a touch screen. If you are in a feed truck, make sure Feed Truck is selected. If the computer is at chuteside, make sure Chuteside is selected. For everything else, select Office.

Feed Truck Section

This information in this section only matters if the Current Use field is set to Feed Truck.

  • Mode. The mode helps Fusion Truck know how to help you feed and which menu windows to show as you are feeding. If you use your truck to load and deliver feed, select the Normal mode. If Fusion Truck is running in a loader that only mixes loads into feed boxes, select the Multi-box Loader mode. If Fusion Truck is running in a truck that only delivers feed that was made by a Multi-box Loader, select the Delivery-only Truck mode. See Feeding Modes for more information.
  • Truck. This field is used to let Fusion know which truck it is in. In Fusion Truck, this will be set in the Full Sync window. For other computers this field can be ignored unless you plan to manually feed. In that case, you will need to choose a truck here. Some people create a fake truck named "Office" for this use so they know the loads were manually created in the office.
