Whisper Device Setup

If you have a Whisper Veterinary Stethoscope, you can use it to capture lung scores in Fusion. The lung score can be used as part of a treatment protocol as well as in sorting protocols. You can learn more about the Whisper device here.

Setup Fields

• Listening Port. By default, Fusion will listen for communication from the Whisper device on port 16000. If you need to change that, you can do so here. It may be necessary to open this port on your computer for the device to be able to communicate with Fusion.

How It Works

When a chutside job starts up, if you have set a Whisper device up here, Fusion will start listening for lung scores from the Whisper device. Each time a new lung score comes in, Fusion sets the lung score for the animal currently being looked at in the job. If the animal already has a lung score in this job and a new one comes in, the old one will be overwritten.

Getting Here

You can open this window by clicking the appropriate Setup… button in the Physical Computer Management window.
