Test Ration

This window lets you preview the selected ration version as a sample load before you save changes in the Ration Edit window. It is useful as a sanity check when entering or changing a formulation because it helps you spot incorrect ingredient percentages, ration basis choices, or dry matter values before the ration is saved. Fusion uses the ingredients, percentages, order, and ration basis exactly as they are currently entered in the editor.

Preview Controls

• Location. Choose the location whose ingredient dry matter values should be used. Fusion defaults this to the computer location when that location is available.
• Load Size. Enter the sample load size you want to preview. Fusion defaults this to 10000 in the yard's feed load delivery units.

Dry matter values are looked up for today's date when the window opens. Fusion gathers those values for every available location at that time, so changing the location recalculates the list without saving or reloading the ration.

Preview List

The list shows one row for each ingredient in the ration version.

• Ingredient. The ingredient name from the ration formulation.
• Ration Inclusion. The ingredient percentage entered in the ration. The column header shows whether the ration is on an as fed basis or dry matter basis.
• Current Ingredient Dry Matter. The dry matter percentage Fusion is using for the selected location and today's date.
• Load As Fed Amount. The as fed ingredient amount that would be called for in the sample load.

Load amounts are rounded the same way Fusion rounds ingredient targets when mixing a real load. If an ingredient is missing a dry matter percentage for the selected location, Fusion will not show a calculated preview until the dry matter value is corrected or another location is chosen.

Exporting

Right-Click the list header if you need to print or export the preview rows.

This window opens when you choose → Test Ration in the Ration Edit window.
