If you are in Canada and either age verifying or submitting information to CCIA, Fusion will often communicate with CCIA in the background from the server. For example, if you requested that 25 animals were age verified, Fusion would place them in the queue and then ask CCIA about each in turn. This window shows information about this queue and the background process. Most of the time you don't need to worry about this, but if Fusion encounters errors you can use this window to help track them down.
There are two queues that Fusion uses. One is for age verifying and the other is for upload events such as move in and move out events. The age verifying queue is shown in this window on the left and the other on the right. If all is going well with a queue, Fusion will show its information on a green background. If there is a recoverable error, the background will be red.
When Fusion is processing a queue, if it encounters a recoverable error (for example, the internet is down) it will wait a few minutes and re-try several times. If it continues to get an error it will stop processing the queue and send a system message so you can open this window and take a look at it.
There are two categories of errors Fusion may encounter. Recoverable errors (the network is down, the account credentials are incorrect, etc.) will cause the queue to stop so you have a chance to fix the issue. Once fixed, the queue can continue without losing anything that needed to be submitted to CCIA.
Unrecoverable errors are a different story. These errors can happen if a bad tag number is being submitted or events are being submitted out of order or for a host of other reasons. When these errors happen Fusion has successfully communicated with CCIA but CCIA has returned with an error message. Fusion can't automatically recover from these errors so they are logged and the queue continues on. Each morning you will be sent a message if there were any unrecoverable errors from the day before. You can then use the Rejected Submissions button in this window to take a look at them.
The most likely things to go wrong when you have a recoverable error which stops the queue are:
If you have been notified there are unrecoverable errors, click the Rejected Submissions button. This will open the CCIA Rejected Submissions window which you can use to get more information about the errors and then deal with them as CCIA directs.
If more information is needed to determine the source of errors, you can turn logging on. Once on, a series of files will be written to a folder named CCIA Log on the Desktop which represent the communication with CCIA. (Some developer level logs are also written to disk and can be viewed using the Show Logs button.) Make sure you turn this off when it isn't needed anymore. It is usually best to only leave it on for a few hours.
You can open this window by going to Fusion Admin → Utilities → CCIA Background Checking.
