Month End Lock

When a Month End Lock date is set, information which could affect lot closeouts and invoicing will not be allowed to be created, edited, or deleted if it was on or prior to the lock date. The idea is to change this date whenever you have finalized your books for a period. The date is normally set to the end of a month, but can be set to any date you choose. If left blank, no locking will occur throughout the system.

Only someone with the correct permissions can change this date. If you find you really do need to change some historical information you can do so by removing this date, making the change, and then re-establishing the date again.
