Job Definitions List Window

This window is where all the chuteside job definitions are listed.

This window has the following menu buttons available. (See the List Windows topic to learn more about list windows in general.)

  • New. Use this button to create a new job definition. It will open in another window which has a help button explaining more about how to create and edit job definitions.
  • Edit. This button opens the selected job definition(s) in another window so you can make changes to them.
  • Delete. This allows you to delete the selected job definition(s). Fusion keeps the job definition history internally, so you are free to delete job definitions is you know you won't use them again.
  • Duplicate. This will duplicate the selected job definition and give it the same name with "copy" appended to it. You can then edit the new job definition to make any changes you like.
  • Options. This button lists options that are related to chuteside jobs in general:
    • Edit HUDs. A Heads Up Display (HUD) window is used for displaying information about an animal or the job itself during a job. A job can have multiple HUDs and each HUD can have multiple pages of information. This option opens a window with a list of HUDs where you can edit and create your own. It has its own help button for more information.
    • Edit Keyboard Profiles. A keyboard profile lets you program an electronic keyboard which can be used at chuteside to make certain kinds of data entry faster. More information is available from the help button on the Keyboard Profile edit window.
  • Advanced Find. For finding information within the list. See Advanced Find Window for more information.
  • Advanced Sort. For sorting the list. See Advanced Sort Window for more information.
  • Advanced Print. For printing information from the list. See Advanced Print Window for more information.

List Description

This list is for all of the chuteside job definitions. A job definition forms the "template" of what will happen when a job (chuteside batch) begins. You can create as many job definitions as you like and even lock them to certain locations. When an actual job starts, it the chuteside batch will keep its own copy of this job definition, so it is not necessary to keep around old job definitions unless you may need them in the future.
