Let's walk through the first part of the setup process. We are assuming your server is up and that Fusion Server is running. Also, that you've got Fusion Client installed on your office computer. Those steps are normally taken care of by your hardware installer or our support team. Now, let's dive into the initial setup.

To begin, double-click the Fusion Client icon on your desktop. Fusion will connect to the server and then bring up the Software License Agreement. When you're ready, click "Accept" to move on to the First Launch Assistant window. It's important to complete this window before you can use Fusion Client on other computers. Just click the right arrow to move past the intro.

Next up, on the Operation Information page, provide your business's contact details. If you have multiple locations, this info is for the company that owns all the operations. It'll show up on reports and invoices generated with Fusion, regardless of the location. The Location Name might be the same as the Operation Name, especially if have just one location, or it might be the name of the first location you are using Fusion at. If there are more, you'll set them up later. Rest assured, all this can be changed down the line. Once you're set, hit the right arrow to move to the User Information page.

Every user in Fusion will have their own account and permission level. You'll add more users later on, but for now, put in your own info so Fusion can get started with at least one user. You'll automatically have admin level permissions. Remember, all this info can be edited later. When you're done, hit the right arrow to go to the Units page.

Here's where you pick the units Fusion will use in different situations. For instance, choose between pounds or kilograms for animal weights. One thing to note - the choice you make here is permanent! The default settings usually work for most US and Canadian yards. If you're not sure, get in touch with us before moving on. Once you're done, hit the right arrow again.

The Synchronization With Trucks page is likely already set up right for you. Only make changes here if you don't have any feed trucks and won't be using Fusion for feeding. Keep the port number as is, unless our support team suggests otherwise. These settings can be adjusted later, so click the right arrow when you're ready for the last page.

On this last page, you'll need to enter a launch code provided by our support team. If you haven't received it yet, reach out to us before hitting "Proceed". Also, make sure your computer is connected to the network so Fusion can grab a valid license key. Once you've entered the launch code and confirmed your connection, hit "Proceed".

After a short wait, you'll see the Login Window. Type in your new username and password, then click "Log In".

Now, you'll see the Fusion Setup Assistant window. It'll pop up every time you open Fusion Client until you've completed the setup for your first location. Its job is to walk you through the rest of the setup, one step at a time. It is generally easiest to work through the steps in the order shown here. Our support team is here to train and answer any questions you have about each setup step. We also have video guides for each step if you prefer that format.

Most yards find they can get through the majority of these steps in just a few hours. You can even have different folks working on different parts at the same time if you'd like. After that, you'll be prepared for transition day where you'll start reaping the benefits of having Fusion up and running in your yard!
