Sync Machines Window

A sync machine is basically equivalent to a truck computer. We use the term "sync machine" because it is possible for different computers to make their way into a truck over its life. This window give insight into what sync machines are being currently used.

List of Sync Machines

  • Last Location. Choose a location here. Only trucks from this location will be shown in the list. This is based on the location the truck was last used for. To show all locations, choose All Locations.
  • Status. Choose All to see all trucks or choose Synced Recently to see trucks that have synced in past couple weeks.
  • Refresh. Click this button to update the list contents.

The list shows information about each truck including the time of the last sync and the type of sync it was.

Allow Incoming Data On Next Sync

You can use the buttons at the bottom of the window to select and deselect all the machines (you can also manually select one or more sync machines) and to change their "Allow Incoming Data On Next Sync" status. Usually this status will be turned on for sync machines. It can be turned off manually here and the server will automatically turn it off if a sync machine hasn't synced for more than 14 days.

When it is turned off, the server will ignore any information the truck sends it on the next sync and immediately turn it back on so that subsequent syncs behave like normal. This is an important safety mechanism as we don't want any old, stray data to get into Fusion Server.

Manually changing this state should only be done under the guidance of our support team; it is helpful under some very specific situations where a server's data file has had to be rebuilt while trucks were feeding.
